Another bunch sprint in the Scheldeprijs?

The first and second edition of the Scheldeprijs finished in a bunch sprint. Will the sprinters take command for the third time?

The peloton will cover 131,5 kilometres during the Scheldeprijs with start and finish in Schoten. The wind could play a factor in this race, but the weather forecast for Wednesday doesn`t give much wind. After 80 kilometres the peloton will enter the local lap of 17 km, which they will ride three times.

Liv Racing TeqFind brings Rachele Barbieri, Eva Buurman, Marta Jaskulska, Ayesha McGowan, Tereza Neumanova and Katia Ragusa to the start line in Schoten.

Barbieri had some bad luck this spring season, but is looking for another chance to show her fast legs. “My season is a bit disappointing so far. I had some back luck and crashes in the race, which prevented me to gain a good result. Last year I was on the podium in the Scheldeprijs and I am aiming for another good result tomorrow. I feel good and the weather looks good, so hopefully it will be a sprint. We have a strong team to do a good lead-out. There will be a lot of good competitors for the sprint, so I really would like to show myself in the sprint.”
