After the cobbled classics the Brabantse Pijl is the ideal transition to the Ardennes classics.
The Brabantse Pijl will start in Lennik and will finish 141 kilometres later in Overijse. On its way to the finish the peloton has to tackle 24 hills, with amongst others Bruineput, Moskesstraat, Holstheide and the S-Bocht.
Last Saturday Liv Racing TeqFind concluded the cobbled classic campaign with a fantastic second place of Katia Ragusa in Paris-Roubaix Femmes. That ride is an extra motivation for the squad which will contest the Brabantse Pijl and the Ardennes Classics. Liv Racing TeqFind brings Caroline Andersson, Mavi Garcia, Ayesha McGowan, Silke Smulders, Sabrina Stultiens and Quinty Ton to the start of the Brabantse Pijl.
After a good start of the season and a few weeks without races Andersson will be back in the peloton in the Brabantse Pijl. “The first races with the team went really well. I feel at home in the team, here is a nice environment to race and perform. After the first races I did some recons of the Ardennes Classics and then headed back to Sweden to do some good and hard training to get in top shape for the next races. The Ardennes Classics are one of my biggest goals of the season. Let`s hope all the hard work of the last weeks will pay off. I am looking forward to pin on a number again. The Brabantse Pijl is a nice race and we can do well there as a team, especially with Mavi.”
