Hageland: cobbles, gravel and climbs

Liv Racing TeqFind is back in action on Belgian soil. The team will start in Dwars door het Hageland, an atypical race with several gravel sections.

It will be the third women`s edition of Dwars door het Hageland . Its combination of cobbles, gravel roads and short climbs providing plenty of action each year. The race over 122,3 kilometres will start in Aarschot and contains 12 zones of cobbles or gravel. The peloton will also have to climb the Citadel in Diest three times, the last climb will also be the finish.

Liv Racing TeqFind will start with Eva Buurman, Thalita de Jong, Jeanne Korevaar, Ayesha McGowan, Silke Smulders and Sabrina Stultiens.

Buurman has some offroad experience. She did a gravel race in Limburg in the end of April. “It was very nice to compete in that gravel race. The most beautiful thing about gravelling is that you feel one with the natural environment. Hageland also contains several gravel zones, in combination with the cobbles and some climbs it will be a hard race. The last weeks I was active in Burgos and London. I felt better and better during the races and that gives confidence for this race. We will start with a strong team, suited for this race. So I really look forward to start!”, Buurman said.
