Liv Racing Xstra (UCI Women’s WorldTeam) today announced its extension of one-year contracts to three key team riders including Marta Jaskulska, Ayesha McGowan, and Sabrina Stultiens. The women will continue to wear the iconic purple jersey and will race for Liv Racing Xstra for the 2023 season.
Marta Jaskulska completed the 2022 season in Spain two weeks ago at the Vuelta Challenge, expressing her enthusiasm for the World Championship and start of the 2023 season.
“This season has been the busiest of my career so far. I have never competed in so many races before. I’ve become stronger both physically and strategically. We have developed a connected, ambitious team of riders with a lot of potential and I’m thrilled we are remaining together for the season ahead. We have a good base to build on and after three seasons, Liv Racing Xstra is still the right place to get even more out of myself, too.”
Ayesha McGowan signed with Liv Racing and joined the UCI Women’s WorldTeam in 2021, making her the first Black American woman to be a pro cyclist.
“Last season kicked off with some really big races which was exciting, though midway through I needed surgery. The team was very supportive and encouraged me to prioritize my health which allowed me to tackle a difficult situation right away and take the time to heal properly. I’m ready and motivated to contribute to Liv Racing Xstra victories in 2023.”
Riding professionally for a decade, Sabrina Stultiens set her sights on the Tour de Romandie with Liv Racing Xstra.
“After so many years, Liv Racing Xstra feels like family. I really enjoy working with the riders and staff and am happy with the race programme. The coronavirus unfortunately affected my season, but I am energized by the renewed contract and the continued growth and support amongst our team. I am looking forward to ending the season in the Tour de Romandie on a high note.”
