Next assignment: Ceratizit Challenge by La Vuelta

One of the last stage races of the season will be held from the 7th till 11th of September. The Ceratizit Challenge by La Vuelta offers all facets of cycling: a team time trial, hilly stages and possible sprints.

The Ceratizit Challenge by La Vuelta starts with a team time trial over 19,9 kilometres in Marina de Cudeyo. One day later the pelotons heads into the hills. Five classified climbs are on the menu, the summit of the last one is at 14 kilometres from the finish. The third stage contains a long climb, but the summit is on 30 kilometres from the line. The second last day has an uphill finish in Segovia after 160 kilomtres. Sunday the peloton heads to Madrid to conclude this stage race.

Liv Racing Xstra starts with Valerie Demey, Thalita de Jong, Marta Jaskulska, Tereza Neumanova, Quinty Ton and Sabrina Stultiens in this Women`s World Tour race.

Sports director Giorgia Bronzini – who concluded her active career in this race in 2018 – is looking forward to one of the last stage races of this season. “It will be a hard race on several terrains. Not only is it a hard course, but also the competition is hard as a lot of riders are in good shape in preparation on the World Championships later this month. Just like in the former races we want to race as a team and help each other where needed. It would be nice if we can show our team colors in one or more breakaways and aim for a spot on the podium. In case of a sprint with a reduced bunch maybe Tereza can also show her fast legs.”
