Spanish champion Mavi Garcia will ride her first race for Liv Racing TeqFind in front of her home crowd during the Setmana Ciclista – Volta Comunitat Valenciana Femines.
The Spanish stage race contains four stages. The peloton will start in Valencia on Thursday for a stage to Port de Sagunt, where the sprinters will have a chance to show their fast legs. During the second stage there will be some climbing in the first half of the stage, followed by some endulating kilometres on the way to Vila-Real. The third stage has some serious climbs in it, with the Alto Tudons (15,4 km, 4,9%) and the Confrides (6,5 km, 4,8%) in the second part of the stage. The final kilometres to Altea are downhill. On the final day the first part of the stage is quite flat, followed by a hilly section in the finale with summit of the Alto de Barx at 16 kilometres from the finish line.
Spanish champion Mavi Garcia will lead the Liv Racing TeqFind team in Spain. It will be her first race for the team. Also Caroline Andersson makes her road debut for our team. Ayesha McGowan, Katia Ragusa, Sabrina Stultiens and Quinty Ton complete the Liv Racing TeqFind line-up for this race.
Garcia is looking forward to get her season started after a good winter. “I have had a very good preparation on the season. I improved on some aspects and feel physically and mentally ready to go. I feel very integrated into the team. It feels that I have been around for some years already. We are with a group of riders willing to work hard and that is something important to me. It will be nice to show my Spanish champion jersey on the Spanish roads. I hope that the work I have done these past months will reflect in the race. I am ready to embark the new adventure with all my team mates and staff here in Spain.”
