Another Belgian midweek race for the Liv Racing TeqFind riders. Probably it will be a race which will be affected again by the weather conditions.
The 2023 edition of Dwars door Vlaanderen contains seven cobbled sections and eight climbs. The race will start in Waregem for a race over 115,2 kilometres. The first cobblestones will appear after just 16 kilometres, the last ones are at 10 kilometres from the finish line. The weather forecast gives some wind and probably some rain, so the peloton is up for another hard demanding race.
Liv Racing TeqFind will start with a versatile team consisting of Rachele Barbieri, Eva Buurman, Valerie Demey, Marta Jaskulska, Jeanne Korevaar and Ayesha McGowan.
For Korevaar Dwars door Vlaanderen will be her second race of the season, after she rode the Classic Brugge-De Panne last week. “I am glad to be back in the peloton. I really enjoyed it being back with the team last week. I could do my tasks for the team in my first race. Dwars door Vlaanderen is another race to gain more race rhythm. It will be a fast and hard race for sure. I hope I can help my team mates and fulfill my tasks. When a select group stays together we have a chance for a good result with Rachele or Marta, who is riding well the last weeks”, Korevaar said.
