Paris-Roubaix Femmes: cobbles and dust

Saturday the peloton will start in the third edition of Paris-Roubaix Femmes. The iconic race contains 17 cobblestone sections and will finish on the iconic André-Pétrieux Velodrome.

Paris-Roubaix Femmes became an instant classic at the inaugural edition in 2021. The Hell of the North brings drama, hectic and surprises. Saturday the peloton starts in Denain for a race over 145,5 kilometres. The first pavé will come after 63 kilometres in the race. In the resuming 80 kilometres the riders have to deal with 29,2 kilometres cobblestones spread out over 17 sectors. The third edition of the race is expected to be a dry and dusty one, probably meaning we will have a fast race over the northern France cobblestones.

Liv Racing TeqFind starts with Rachele Barbieri, Valerie Demey, Marta Jaskulska, Jeanne Korevaar, Tereza Neumanova and Katia Ragusa.

For Czech champion Neumanova it means her debut in this race. “I am really excited to start. It is one of the most iconic races on the calendar. It gives me a proud feeling that I can race here in the Czech national champion jersey. We did a recon of the course in February. After every cobblestone sector I better and better. That gave me the confidence to start in this hard race. Positioning before the sectors will play an important role, but you also need to have some luck. The team is really motivated, so I believe we can do a good race!”
