Scandinavia: Jackson takes green jersey

The Tour of Scandinavia started in Copenhagen today. Liv Racing Xstra was active during the first stage, with Alison Jackson taking points at the intermediate sprints. Jackson was rewarded with the green points jersey.

The first stage brought the peloton from Copenhagen to Helsingor over 145,6 kilometres. Despite several attacks the bunch stayed together for a long time.  Fresh off the Commonwealth Games Alison Jackson showed herself multiple times at the intermediate sprints. She won two of the three sprints and got third in the other one. That was enough to get on the stage podium after the stage to receive the green points jersey.

Jeanne Korevaar went on adventure too in the stage, but her breakaway attempt didn`t last long. Eventually the stage ended in a sprint, which was won by Marianne Vos. All Liv Racing Xstra riders finished safely in the bunch.
