Liv Racing TeqFind continues the season in Switzerland, where the Tour de Suisse Women will take place in the next four days.
Like last year the Tour de Suisse Women will start with a short and punchy stage consisting of three laps of 20 kilometres. Each lap includes the Burgstrasse climb (2,6 km, 4,9%). The second day there will be an individual time trial over 25,7 kilometres from St. Gallen to Abtwill. On the second last day the peloton heads to Ebnat-Kappel for a hilly stage over 120,8 kilometres. The fourth and final day will also take place in the surrounding of Ebnat-Kappel. After 43 kilometres the peloton will climb the Winterbergstrasse (6,2 km, 3,7%), followed by three times the Schorutistrasse (1,3 km, 7,6%). So enough climbing to decide the overall winner of this stage race.
Liv Racing TeqFind brings Caroline Andersson, Valerie Demey, Marta Jaskulska, Tereza Neumanova, Katia Ragusa and Sabrina Stultiens to the start in Switzerland.
Czech champion Neumanova makes her return in the peloton after she took a little break after the Vuelta a Burgos. “After Burgos I took some days off to recover from the first half of the season. Then I headed to Livigno for an altitude camp of three weeks to get ready for the next important part of the season. The training went really well and I am satisfied with how the things went over there. It was also really nice to have support of Giorgia and Chiara in Livigno. The first stage of the Tour de Suisse has to suit me well, but we will have to see how my body will react after a period without races. After the time trial we will have to see what our possibilities will be for the next hilly stages and the GC. I am looking forward to race again”, Neumanova told.
