In a sunny and warm Ede the riders gave it all during the 2,4 kilometres long prologue. Sabrina Stultiens was the first Liv Racing TeqFind rider of the day.
Sabrina Stultiens was added to the team last minute, but made a solid start of the 25th Simac Ladies Tour. Stultiens started as last Liv Racing TeqFind rider and was very committed to give it all. After 3 minutes and 19 seconds she stopped the clock, which meant she had an average speed of 43,417 km/h.
“I really like a prologue. It is all out from start till finish. This was the maximum I could do. It was nice course with some technical parts. I didn`t train specific for this, so it is a solid result. This gives confidence for the rest of the Simac Ladies Tour. The last weeks I felt well and hope to show myself in one or more stages this week. The stages of this weekend suit me. So I want to ride aggressively, just like the rest of the team”, Stultiens commented after the prologue.
Tomorrow the first stage takes place in and around Gennep. During the stage over 139,1 kilometres two climbs of the Mookerheide will wait for the riders. Probably that will not be enough to drop the sprinters, so a bunch sprint is expected at the end of the day.
