Sunday Belgium will be the centre of the cycling world during the Ronde van Vlaanderen.
Vlaanderens Mooiste is one of the highlights during the spring classic campaign. The peloton will start from the Markt in Oudenaarde for a race over 158 kilometres. After 10 kilometres the Tiegemberg will be the first of fifteen hills. The combo Oude Kwaremont and Paterberg at 14 kilometres from the finish will be the final hurdle of the day on the way back to Oudenaarde.
Liv Racing TeqFind will start with Valerie Demey, Marta Jaskulska, Tereza Neumanova, Katia Ragusa, Silke Smulders and Quinty Ton in this Monumental classic race.
For the only Belgian rider in our squad Demey it will be a special day, as the Ronde van Vlaanderen is the most popular race in her country. “It is a very special day. For the whole country it feels like a holiday. This spring campaign didn`t go as planned for me, but Sunday is a new day, a new race and a therefore a new chance. I am really looking forward to race and things can turn around quickly. I think we have to race like we have nothing to lose and be offensive. In that way we can get into the final and go for a nice result. Above all I want to enjoy the race as it is such a special race every year.”
